Youth: My First Quilt

Make a lap quilt to sit under, upon or wrap around. This project is for youths in grades 3 to 7 (ages 8 to 12) who are learning to sew. Purchase your fabric and cut out the pieces following detailed instructions before class. Then, in class you will make a 36” square two-block, nine-patch quilt. You will learn to piece and assemble the top, sew on the back and batting, and be shown how to quilt the layers together to finish this step at home. This quilt was designed to make it simple, fun and successful.

Please plan for a lunch break.
