ByAnnie Basics - Intro to Bag Making

Have you admired the gorgeous bags and accessories you've seen in the store and wished you could make them? The ByAnnie Basics classes are designed to teach you the skills to build upon to make the more complex bags. Make four different projects in four sessions.


Session 1: Petite Basket - Wed. Nov. 19, 2025, 11am-3:30pm (includes half hour lunch): The first class will teach how to cut out the pieces, work with foam stabilizer, sew 1/8" and 1/4" seams and follow a pattern to make an adorable little basket. 

Session 2: Piecekeeper - Wed. Dec. 3, 2025, 11am - 3:30pm (includes half hour lunch): The second ByAnnie Basics class builds confidence and skills. Lean how to make quilted fabric, insert a zipper on mesh fabric, and how to make and bind the finished bag with bias binding. You will be amazed at how much you learned when your beautiful and functional Piecekeeper bag is finished.

Session 3: Call Me - Wed. Jan. 14, 2026, 11am - 1:30pm: The third ByAnnie Basics class builds even more confidence and skills! The "Call Me" name badge and phone holder project increases your confidence and builds new skills as you work with vinyl and adding multiple pockets to two sides. The finished holder is wonderful when traveling, attending conferences or anytime a name tag is used.

Session 4: Easy Does It: Thurs. Feb. 12, 2026, 10am - 4:30pm (includes half hour lunch): The fourth and final ByAnnie Basics combines all of the skills acquired in the previous sessions to create your first bag. You will be guided step-by-step through the construction.

Note: the binding process takes a long time and you may need to finish this at home.
